3” hand carved shrinkpot. Birch and alder with tung oil finish.

This little shrinkpot is carved from birch that is still green. The base and lid are carved from seasoned alder. The base is carved to a tight fit then left for a few days to allow the body of the pot to dry and shrink and grip the base. The lid is then carved to fit.
