5½” hand carved shrinkpot. Birch with lime lid and cherry knob with tung oil finish.

This little shrinkpot is carved from birch that is still green. The base is carved to a tight fit then left for a few days to allow the body of the pot to dry and shrink and grip the base. The lid is then carved to fit.
